Save The Bay Swim 2023
Last year I completed my 10th swim across Narragansett Bay!
As I head into my second decade of Newport to Jamestown crossings, I’m thankful for those who came before me and fought to make the Bay a cleaner body of water. There was a time when oily balls of gook washed up on Bay beaches and sewage overflows were a common event.
There’s still work to do, battles to fight and wrongs to right, but I’m grateful that I can swim from shore to shore without getting sick or slimed with oil.
I can’t wait to get back in the water and return to my favorite event of the year. As always, I appreciate any help you can give to support Save The Bay in its mission to clean and protect our beautiful Narragansett Bay. Thank you!
