I will once again be swimming the two miles from Newport to Jamestown, RI. This will be my eigth swim, the eleventh I am registering for. Three years were cancelled due to bad weather. I continue to swim to support the important work of Save the Bay Rhode Island to maintain the pristine waters of Narragansett Bay. In the early years of the swim the water was far from pristine and swimmers would exit the water covered with debris.
