I am taking the plunge to attempt the 2 mile swim across Narragansett Bay to help raise money for Save the Bay. Thanks to the Rocky Point Tidebreakers for including me in the team, and to Mike Poshkus for shepherding me in a kayak for the event. 

Save the Bay has been a major help to my entire family for 25 years.  Narrangansett Bay is beautiful and clean, and continual advocacy is important.  We enjoy Rocky Point for fishing, picnicking, and swimming.  Our children learned so much from the summer camps when they were young. The bay is a Rhode Island Treasure. 

My training continues to progress.  My team will return to Rocky Point tomorrow for a long outdoor swim.  We've experienced adversity along the way, trying to complete long swims in the face of changing tides, current, and wind.  Open water swimming is challenging, and sometimes a little scary!  I'm hoping we get good weather for the day of the event.   I'm excited for August 8.
