Crossing Narragansett Bay for a Cleaner Future: My 5th Save The Bay Swim
On August 8th, I will be plunging into the open water to swim roughly 2 miles from Newport to Jamestown. This isn't just any swim—it’s the historic 50th anniversary of the Save The Bay Swim, an event dedicated to protecting, restoring, and treating Narragansett Bay.
When I moved from the West Coast—where good friends launched my open water swimming —I fell in love with the Narragansett's waters. This will be my fifth time tackling the currents of the Bay. Because I spend so much time in these waters, I see firsthand how vital it is to keep them clean, healthy, and accessible for everyone.
To participate, every swimmer commits to raising at least $450. 100% of these funds go directly to Save The Bay to support local water quality testing, shoreline restorations, and environmental education programs.
I would deeply appreciate any support you can provide to help me reach—and hopefully exceed—my fundraising goal. Thank you so much for cheering me on and considering a donation!
