On Saturday, July 19, 2025, I will participate in my first Save the Bay 2-mile swim to raise funds toward a clean and healthy Narragansett Bay. I’m a regular swimmer in the saltwater between Jamestown and Newport, RI and care deeply about protecting our ocean. Save The Bay is an independent, member-supported, nonprofit organization with a mission to protect and improve Narragansett Bay. We got our start in 1970 when a group of concerned citizens united to protect this treasured natural resource, beginning our legacy as the eyes, ears and voice for Narragansett Bay. Today, we carry out our mission through our advocacy, education, and habitat restoration with a vision of a Narragansett Bay that is fishable, swimmable, and accessible to all.
