Help me Save the Bay! My 2-mile swim for a cleaner Narragansett - August 8, 2026
We are making a difference in our Bay!
On August 8, 2026, I’ll be taking the plunge to participate in the 50th Anniversary Save The Bay Swim! I did this swim exactly 30 years ago. It was my first of many open water swims. This iconic event challenges swimmers to cross a two-mile stretch of Narragansett Bay’s East Passage, from the Naval War College in Newport to Potter Cove in Jamestown.
I’m doing this because Narragansett Bay is more than just a body of water to me— it's the heart and soul of Rhode Island. Save The Bay has spent decades transforming this water from a polluted area into the beautiful, swimmable treasure it is today. Your donation will directly support:
- Education programs for local students.
- Habitat restoration to protect shoreline wildlife.
- Advocacy efforts to keep our waters fishable and swimmable for everyone.
I am trying to raise at least 450 dollar.
Thank you so much for your consideration in donating, and cheering me on and helping to protect what we love!
Best,
Chris
