As you know, Dave and I work for Save The Bay. We have each been at the organization for close to twenty years. What you might not know is we met at Save The Bay, fell in love, got married and started our family while working here and our children have been willing participants in Save The Bay clean ups, camps and other fun programs. Save The Bay is the largest non-profit in southern New England and turned 50 this year. The mission is to protect and improve Narragansett Bay. Our organization relies on memberships, donations and other fundraising activites to support our mission. COVID-19 has definitely impacted our work in many ways but the biggest impact is through our largest fundraising event known as "The Swim". For over 40 years we have organized this large fundraiser that close to 500 people participate in all in the name of clean water. Dave and I are usually working the event so we have never been able to participate but this year the in- person event is cancelled and we are going virtual and the "swim" has been extended to include other activites such as walking, running and kayaking. Our family decided to form a team, The Prescott Pogies, and are going to do a 5 mile kayak trip down the Pawcatuck River, which is part of Little Narragansett Bay's watershed. We hope you consider donating to our team! Thanks for whatever you can donate. With Love, Bridget, Dave, Connor and Kaia
