The 47th Annual Save The Bay Swim and Open 

THE  IN-PERSON CLASSIC SWIM COURSE (2.0)
The 2.0 Mile Classic Swim course runs roughly parallel to the Newport Bridge and challenges up to 500 swimmers every year. 

FUNDRAISING: Minimum Fundraising of $400

OPEN EVENTS

Join the Save The Bay Open.
Swim, Run, Row, Ride, Walk, Paddle, or do it all!

FUNDRAISING: Minimum Fundraising of $200

Open Event Participants
All participants who raise a minimum of $200 will receive Towel, T-Shirt, and medal.

Open Series
Participants who register for three or more events ($25 registration for each event) will receive a participant t-shirt.

Save The Bay Open participatns continue fundraising for more incentive prizes like Save The Bay merchandise and more.

CLASSIC SWIM COURSE (2.0)
This 2.0 mile swim can be completed in open ocean, lake, pond, river or pool. Swimmers map out their  spot and submit their times to count towards the total years as a swimmer. 

SHORT SWIM COURSE (0.5)
This 0.5 mile Short Course is designed for first-time swimmers and those who wish to do a shorter version due to injury, lack of training or other reasons. Swimmers map out their own 0.5 course in open ocean, lake, pond, river or pool.

Run or Walk (5K)
This 5K run is designed to allow participants to choose a run of their choice. Runners map out their own 5K on the road, trail, treadmill or back yard. 

Ride (25 miles)
This bike ride is designed to allow participants to choose a ride of their choice. Cyclists map out their own 25 miles on the road, trail, assault bike or on your Peleton. 

Row (5K)
This row is designed to allow participants to enjoy a good workout indoors or out. Just jump on (or in) and row! 

Kayak (5 miles)
This kayak is designed to allow participants to choose a route of their choice. Kayakers map out their own 5.0 mile course in open ocean, lake, pond or river. 

Stand Up Paddleboard (2.0 miles)
This paddle is designed to allow participants to choose a SUP course of their choice. Paddleboarders map out their own 2.0 course in open ocean, lake, pond or river.

How it works: 
1. Register for one, two, three or ALL of the events.
2. Each event registration is $25 with a $200 minimum fundraising requirement. 
3. Once you have completed an event, you will submit your time and course information. 
4. Participants can submit times through Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
5. Participants will have an option to sign up on a leaderboard for competitive scoring.
6. Share your photos, videos or any communication to promote and celebrate your accomplishments.
